The Hobby Rocketry Team Leads are committed to increasing the presence of aerospace engineering on UH campus. Below are the Hobby Team Leads for the 2025-2026 term.
Dedah Ould Sidina
Co-Lead
Dedah (he/him) is a senior mechanical engineering student with a passion for building things. He joined AAIA-UH in 2023, transitioning to lead role for the avionics sub team in 2024 and currently acts as the Chief Engineer for Space City Rocketry.
Andrew Heideman
Co-Lead
Andrew (he/him) is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He has been part of AIAA for 2 years and has done everything from booking rooms to making flyers to building a plane. He is excited to be apart of what the org accomplishes this year.
Shane Abbott
Co-Lead
Shane (he/him) is a sophomore in mechanical engineering with an interest in aviation, rocketry, and RF technology. He joined AIAA in 2024 and has been part of Space City Aero and UH-ARC ever since, dabbling in other teams along the way. He leads the HAM club and now helps to lead the Hobby Rocketry club, working on an L2 himself.
