The Hobby Rocketry Team Leads are committed to increasing the presence of aerospace engineering on UH campus. Below are the Hobby Team Leads for the 2025-2026 term.
Dedah Ould Sidina
Co-Lead
Dedah (he/him) is a senior mechanical engineering student with a passion for building things. He joined AAIA-UH in 2023, transitioning to lead role for the avionics sub team in 2024 and currently acts as the Chief Engineer for Space City Rocketry.
Andrew
Co-Lead
Andrew (he/him) is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He has been part of AIAA for 2 years and has done everything from booking rooms to making flyers to building a plane. He is excited to be apart of what the org accomplishes this year.
Shane Abbott
Co-Lead
Shane (he/him) is a sophomore in mechanical engineering with an interest in RF technology. He joined AIAA in 2024 and has been part of Space City Aero and HAM since, dabbling in all aspects when he has the time. He has a passion for hands-on projects, real world testing, and the building/maintenance of machines.
