COVID-19 Response

The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way we all must conduct ourselves until the threat of the disease has passed – however, AIAA-UH will not let it stop us from supporting our members and increasing the presence of aerospace engineering at UH.

Here are the ways that AIAA-UH is adapting:

  1. All general meetings for the Fall 2020 semester will be held virtually on Zoom. We’ll continue to host guest speakers, socials, and recruiting events through these virtual meetings. Please stay tuned to AIAA-UH social media and emails for links to the Zoom meetings, and check out the “Upcoming Events” tab to see when they will be!
  2. Our project teams (Space City Rocketry, Space City UAV, and Hobby Rocket Team) will continue their work in the fall with limited in person meetings. Procedures for disinfecting our work space and schedules to limit the amount of people entering our lab will be communicated to the Project Managers and distributed to each team. Meetings of more than 10 people must still be held online.
  3. Extra-curricular activities, including ours, at UH must follow the same guidelines of social distancing and face coverings as is mandated for attending classes in person at UH. More information on the specifics of UH’s policies can be found here.

We are committed to keeping our members safe and supporting them through these uncertain times. Please contact us at aiaacoogs.uh@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Stay safe.
